As an educational and cultural exchange program, ICEP expects that all international staff be provided an opportunity to contribute to the camp program and be encouraged to share their culture with your American campers and staff.

In accordance with J-1 visa regulations, all ICEP participants are general or program counselors and absolutely cannot serve in support staff positions.

Working conditions should, at a minimum, be equal to American staff members at your camp. And, please do as much as possible to offer them any added assistance and support that may be required. Counselors must receive a minimum of five days off during the summer.

The camp is responsible for board and lodging for all ICEP participants INCLUDING bedding which often cannot be brought on the long journey overseas.
